REGIONS · QATAR

AI campuses designed for Qatar.

In Qatar, summer is long and very hot, humidity peaks on the coast late in the season and the shamal winds raise dust. Natural gas, for its part, is abundant.

Energy

Almost all electricity comes from natural gas, which is abundant in the country; the Qatar National Renewable Energy Strategy adds utility-scale solar plants.

Design levers

  • Direct-to-chip liquid cooling
  • Closed-loop dry coolers sized for extreme heat
  • Reinforced filtration against dust and salt air

CONTEXT

What frames a campus here.

  • National strategy

Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Digital Agenda 2030, led by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, frame the development of digital services and AI.

  • Data and sovereignty

Law No. 13 of 2016 protects the privacy of personal data; the Qatar Financial Centre applies its own regime. A campus in the country keeps data under the jurisdiction you choose.

  • Water

The country has no permanent rivers: drinking water comes almost entirely from desalination. Our campuses consume none of it for cooling.
