REGIONS · KUWAIT

AI campuses designed for Kuwait.

The Kuwaiti summer starts dry and ends humid, with frequent sand and dust storms. It also puts the power grid under strain: generating on site becomes an asset.

Energy

Electricity comes from natural gas and oil; the summer peak puts heavy demand on the grid, which the Gulf interconnection supports.

Design levers

  • On-site generation, so as not to depend on the grid’s summer peak
  • Filtration against sand and dust storms
  • Closed loop, with no water evaporation

A qualitative reading, to be refined site by site. Sovereignty and sustainability

CONTEXT

What frames a campus here.

  • National strategy

The “New Kuwait” vision (Kuwait Vision 2035) guides the country’s development plans.

  • Data and sovereignty

Kuwait has no general personal data law: rules come from the telecommunications regulator (CITRA) and from national data classification requirements. Hosting in the country avoids moving sensitive data abroad.

  • Water

With no rivers or lakes, the country draws most of its drinking water from desalination. Our campuses cool without consuming any.
