REGIONS · OMAN

AI campuses designed for Oman.

Oman brings several climates together: the very humid coast of Muscat and Sohar, a hotter and drier interior, and Dhofar, which the khareef monsoon cools in summer. Its coastline also hosts many submarine cable landings.

Energy

The country’s natural gas fuels nearly all power generation; large solar and wind additions are planned.

Design levers

  • Dehumidification and corrosion protection
  • Reinforced filtration against dust and salt air
  • On-site natural gas turbines, solar and storage

A qualitative reading, to be refined site by site. Sovereignty and sustainability

CONTEXT

What frames a campus here.

  • National strategy

Oman Vision 2040 and the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Digital Technologies, led by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, set the course.

  • Data and sovereignty

The Personal Data Protection Law (Royal Decree 6/2022) allows transfers abroad under conditions. A campus in the country keeps data under Omani jurisdiction.

  • Water

An arid country, Oman supplies its public network mainly through seawater desalination. Our campuses consume none of it for cooling.
